Frontend Usage Guide #

This section provides detailed information on how to use the NewsFeed frontend interface.

The NewsFeed interface consists of several key areas:

  1. Main Navigation Bar - Access different sections of the application
  2. News Feed - Browse through aggregated news articles
  3. Article View - Read individual articles
  4. Source Filters - Filter content by sources
  5. Category Filters - Filter content by categories

Features #

News Feed #

The News Feed displays a collection of articles from various sources. Each article card shows:

  • Article title
  • Source name
  • Publication date
  • Brief description
  • Thumbnail image (if available)

Click on any article card to read the full content.

Article Search #

Use the search bar at the top of the page to find specific articles:

  1. Click on the search icon or press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac)
  2. Enter your search query
  3. Press Enter or click the search button
  4. Browse through the search results

Filtering Content #

Filter content by:

  • Categories - Click on a category tag to view articles in that category
  • Sources - Select specific news sources from the sources menu
  • Date Range - Filter articles by publication date

User Preferences #

Customize your news feed by setting preferences:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Navigate to the user settings
  3. Set your preferred categories and sources
  4. Save your preferences

Your news feed will be personalized based on these preferences.

Mobile Usage #

The NewsFeed interface is fully responsive and works on mobile devices:

  • Swipe left/right to navigate between sections
  • Tap article cards to open them
  • Use the hamburger menu to access navigation options
